PROJECT 1

This project is an on-site exercise where we have to observe, sketch and document the physical and non-physical contexts of the site and the measured building. Physical contexts may include overall urban layout, streetscapes, architecture elements and architectural features. Non-physical contexts may encompass the associated social living and cultural elements. The sketches are accompanied with interpretive captions to demonstrate students’ awareness of the contextual relationships between heritage architecture and the place.
